JOSHUA 24 JOSHUA'S PROPHECIES
Joshua is an Old Testament prophet. He spoke more than once in the name
of the Lord as "Thus saith God..." Too, the book of Joshua is the beginning
History of the Old Testament. Joshua's authority was established by miracles.
He was confirmed by God. As God was with Moses at the Red Sea, God was with
Joshua at Jordan. Both, the water parted. This is a word of wisdom.
Leadership demands confirmation. A leader must be confirmed. His or her plan
must work. In God their words must be confirmed in some way. God will show
up when we pay the price. Some may ask, what price? Whatever He says do it.
Joshua prepared the people for his earthly departure. He gathered them and spoke
the Word of God as a prophet. This is God's way. No people should be left to
chance. The way of God, His plan and the next leader should be in place.
